Carpet Repairs & Invisible Patching in Houghton-le-Spring & Washington
An iron burn, a cigarette mark, a bleach spot, a hole the dog made. None of them mean a new carpet. We’re qualified in carpet repair: we cut an invisible patch from a hidden offcut, cupboard floor or spare piece, then re-bond it so you genuinely cannot find the join.
Replacing a carpet because of one damaged patch is a waste of money. A repair takes an hour or so, costs a fraction of a new floor, and done properly it disappears. The burn in the photo below was an iron. Look for the patch in the after shot.
Repairs work best when there's a matching piece to cut from: an offcut you kept, the inside of a wardrobe, under a bed, or a corner of the same carpet in a cupboard. If there's nothing, we can often source a close match.

Questions we get asked
Can a burn in the carpet be repaired?
Yes. This is the most common repair we do. The burnt section is cut out and an invisible patch is bonded in from a matching piece. Most people can't find it afterwards.
What if I don’t have an offcut?
We can usually cut a donor piece from somewhere it'll never be seen, such as inside a built-in wardrobe or under a large piece of furniture, and repair that spot with a close match instead.
How much does a carpet repair cost?
Far less than a new carpet. Repairs are quoted from photos of the damage and the room. The £50 minimum applies. WhatsApp 07380 979570.
Can you fix a carpet that’s gone wrinkly?
Yes, that's re-stretching. Rucks and wrinkles are usually a fitting issue and can be pulled tight again with a power stretcher.
